It all starts with an artistic mind that imagines the shape and appearance of each model, then moves on to the choice of leather, and finally to the production of our sewn shoes. Goodyear.
Goodyear stitching is a special Argumo shoe-making technique, and one of the oldest and most labor-intensive methods of shoe assembly. The result is shoes of unparalleled longevity, strength, comfort and durability.
Goodyear stitching is a noble assembly that can be carried out either manually or by machine. The special feature of Goodyear stitching is that it comprises two seams. The first step is to prepare the insole for stitching. Then the soles are attached together, stretching the outer sole to attach it to its inner cousin, and welt-stitching the whole. Once this assembly is complete, a second operation connects this assembly to the upper, using a special thread passed through the welt to the upper.
Argumo, during the shoe production process, and depending on the desired use, has the choice between different types of leather, designated and carefully treated in purification plants and in respect of the environment and the common heritage.
